Project Statement
The metaphor I want to use is “women as vessels of cultural expression.” Each woman embodies her culture through artistic forms like textiles and patterns.
By visually blending elements from Ecuador, India, and South Africa such as traditional clothing, textures, and iconic patterns, the poster will symbolize the union of the diverse artistic identities. I choose Ecuador because it’s my personal culture.
For the poster I will create three female figures, each representing one of the three cultures. The figures will merge or overlap, symbolizing the unity and dialogue between different cultural expressions. The Ecuadorian figure will be predominant.

Self reflection
I really enjoyed the experience of working with people from different cultures. It gave me the opportunity to learn about their perspectives, traditions, and artistic approaches. I believe that collaborating in this way enriches our experiences as artists, helping us understand how others think and the kinds of art they create. This exchange of ideas not only grows our creative horizons but also teaches us to appreciate diverse ways of expression.
