Project Statement
My design uses the concept of “strength within softness,” represented through delicate floral forms interacting with a sharp, blade to suggest protection without aggression, which what I think of as a form of delicate armor.
I incorporated the word “woman” in multiple languages: Chinese (女), Afrikaans (vroue), and Hindi (महिलाएं) to reflect femininity as a shared, global experience, while arranging them vertically to guide the viewer upward toward the central symbol. The color palette (red, blue, beige) reinforces contrast between strength and softness, while maintaining balance.
