Project Statement
The hands supporting the central icon represent the collective effort and diverse perspectives required to nurture an idea from a simple lightbulb moment into a powerful reality. Our use of soft pastels contrasted with bold typography reflects the harmony between approachability and authority in visual advocacy.
Self Reflection
The hands supporting the central icon represent the collective effort and diverse perspectives required to nurture an idea from a simple lightbulb moment into a powerful reality. Our use of soft pastels contrasted with bold typography reflects the harmony between approachability and authority in visual advocacy.Working in a large team (including Vidhi, Karla, Olebogeng, and others) was essential to the creation of Soft Power. Because our poster centers on the idea of balance, our group process mirrored the artwork itself. We had to balance eleven different "brains" (logic, technical constraints, and deadlines) with eleven "hearts" (individual artistic styles and personal passions). My role involved ensuring that the "Soft Power" theme felt cohesive. I learned that in a large group, the best ideas often come from the friction between different viewpoints, much like how the heart and brain must work together in the design. Coordinating a group of this size taught me how to delegate effectively and maintain a unified vision even when tasks were split. The final poster is a testament to our ability to hold a single concept together through collective support, much like the hands depicted in our visual.
